Teaching, Learning and Research (plus Mathematics)
The Teaching, Learning and Research Rannóg coordinates the core activities of teaching, learning and research in Coláiste Mhuire. This is done primarily through meetings of the Academic Forum. The goal of the Forum is to coordinate the ongoing betterment of student teachers’ experiences in Marino, and the capacity of Marino staff members to contribute constructively to educational discussion and policy in Ireland and beyond. The Forum is convened and chaired by Seán Delaney. Bríd Ní Chualáin is the recording secretary. All academic staff are members of the Forum.
The Rannóg is also home to mathematics in Marino. It coordinates courses in mathematics methods and mathematics. Course instructors include Seán Delaney, Valerie O’Dowd, Noel Mannion (Part-time) and Patrick O’Connor (Part-time). The Rannóg coordinates Marino’s activities as part of Maths Week each year.
