The Registrar's Office takes responsibility for your experience from the time that you contact the College to the time that you graduate.  Thus admissions, registration, examinations, examination results and conferring as well as accommodation assistance and access come under the remit of the Office.

Bachelor in Education (Primary) 2015

From 2015 mature applicants must apply through the CAO by 1 February. For more details see

In mid-March the CAO will check the eligibility criteria and email all mature applicants as to whether an applicant meets the minimum entry requirements. Those applicants meeting the eligibility criteria and wishing to be assessed on mature grounds will be advised to complete and return a Mature Student Supplementary Application Form directly to St Patrick's College, as the administrative centre. Scholarships and Grants:

Grants are available from Local Authorities to all students who satisfy the requirements of the Higher Education Grants Scheme. This applies to the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed), the Bachelor of Science in Education Studies  (B.Sc) and the Higher Diploma in Education (Primary).  Details of these grants and of eligibility conditions are available from Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) and or for continuing students, from the Local Authority of the area in which the applicant is ordinarily resident.

Gaeltacht Scholarships and Commemoration Scholarships are based on the results of the Leaving Certificate Examination.  These, along with Irish Language Third- Level Scholarships, are acceptable at Marino Institute of Education.
