Refund of Fees

MIE are no longer administrators of the Teacher Fee Refund Scheme.

The 2020/2021 scheme has now closed. Information on the 2021/2022 scheme year will be available in January 2023 from Clare Education Centre email: [email protected]

The Teacher Fee Refund Scheme (“the Scheme”) is a scheme the purpose of which is to provide funding towards the cost of course participation and examination fees on successful completion of professional development courses. The funding is available for courses that are directly relevant and of benefit to schools and that are subject to certification/award by an appropriate accreditation authority recognised by the Department of Education. Details of how to apply for the Teacher Fee Refund Scheme 2022 (courses/parts of courses completed in the period 01/09/21 to 31/08/22) will be published in an annual Circular in January 2023.

In previous years, the Scheme was administered by Marino Institute of Education (“MIE”) on behalf of the Department. From 1 December 2022, Clare Education Support Centre (“Clare ESC”) will be taking over the administration of the Scheme from MIE. Therefore, in future, all queries and communications in relation to the Scheme should be directed to Clare ESC via the contact details below:
