Refund of Fees Scheme


The closing date for receipt of completed applications for the Teacher Fee Refund Scheme 2013/14 was Friday 10th April 2015. No late applications will be considered.  We endeavour to process the applications as quickly as possible but it will take a number of months. 

We hope to notify applicants on the outcome of their application by September 2015.  Your ongoing patience is appreciated.

Courses which qualify should be of benefit to schools, school management and the improvement of teaching and learning. Courses must lead to an award from an appropriate accreditation authority approved by D.E.S. Please note that this scheme excludes courses which result in a qualification in respect of which an allowance is payable. Serving teachers who are fully registered with The Teaching Council are eligible to apply under the scheme.

Marino Institute of Education administers the scheme on behalf of the Department. A Monitoring Committee consisting of representatives from teachers unions, school management and D.E.S. oversees the administration process.
