SCoTENS-2

Project Description

This project aims to investigate participants' understanding of home-school partnership with migrant/minority families; to implement a new framework designed for this work by one of the project team; and to identify how it might be improved. The project has a practical contribution through piloting a new Home-School Partnership Framework for migrant/minority families. This Framework was devised by Maria Stewart as part of her PhD study. Specifically, the project aims to:

  1. find out what participants understand by home-school partnership for migrant/minority families;
  2. to pilot activities of the Framework to explore its efficacy; and
  3. to enhance the new Home-School Partnership Framework with migrant/minority families. The Framework has been informed by a literature review and analysis of documents gathered from educators who work with migrant/minority parents/guardians and pupils.
