The minimum entry requirements for this course are currently as follows:

In addition to the requirements outlined above, students must also have a 2.2 result or higher in a Level 8 honours degree.
As well as this, the Irish oral component must be satisfied by obtaining 65% or more in the TEG B1 Irish Oral examination (or a pass or higher at Level B2, C1 or C2). If you have not already done so, please ensure to apply for this examination by 5.00pm on Monday 3rd January 2025. Evidence of this result must be included at the time of submitting an online application, the closing date. We regret that we are unable to accept applications where the TEG B1 Irish Oral result is pending.

Applicants who are successful in TEG and who meet all other entry requirements will be required to take a general interview as part of the entrance process, with up to 100 marks being awarded based on the applicant’s performance in the interview. Additional marks will be awarded to applicants who complete the TEG Oral Examination at a high level, as outlined on the table below:

The marks for the TEG B2/C1/C2 can only be added to the scores of candidates who have completed the higher level of TEG prior to the closing date for applications.
