Conference: Making Competencies Visible with ePortfolios

As part of the Erasmus+-funded Empowering ePortfolio Process (EEP) project, MIE hosted a European conference on Making Competencies Visible with ePortfolios on 15th September 2017. MIE, represented by Dr. Julie Uí Choistealbha, is partner in this project.

The conference featured: a keynote address by Lisa Donaldson, Learning Technologist at the Teaching Enhancement Unit, DCU; a competencies showcase focusing on inquiry based learning, work ready skills, emotional intelligence and digital competence; practical workshops delivered by leading academics and practitioners from the EEP project partners from Finland (Hame University of Applied Sciences), Denmark (VIA University College), Belgium (University College Leuven-Limburg & Catholic University Leuven), and Portugal (Polytechnic Institute of Setubal); a panel discussion on ePortfolios; and a showcase of research from the Empowering ePortfolio Process project.
