Welcome to the Access Service

Welcome to the Access Support Service at MIE! We're thrilled to have you here. At MIE, we have a strong tradition of creating equality of access to third level education for students from groups currently under-represented in higher education. We are committed to creating an inclusive, equitable learning experience for every student where you can feel empowered and supported as you complete your qualification.

Browse through the information below to explore the wide range of supports we provide, spanning from academic assistance to social, personal, and financial support. If we can't directly assist with your specific challenge, rest assured, we'll guide you to the right resources by providing information and connecting you to other MIE support services.

Here is our scope of care statement: Scope of Care.

The access office can help with financial support, navigating college and linking you in with other student support services. We have a wide range of initiatives available including the 1916 Bursary, the student Assistance Fund and other supports to level the playing field and reduce any barriers you may face while at MIE.
