Browse through the information below to explore the wide range of supports we provide, spanning from academic assistance to social, personal, and financial support. If we can't directly assist with your specific challenge, rest assured, we'll guide you to the right resources by providing information and connecting you to other MIE support services
The Disability Service at MIE is delivered in partnership with Trinity College Dublin. Since 2012, this joint service has supported students who disclose a disability, ensuring equitable access to all aspects of college life.
We provide needs-based disability support, including:
-
Needs Assessment meetings and creation of a Learning Educational Needs Summary (LENS).
-
Pre-orientation for incoming students and families.
-
Assistive Technology and Occupational Therapy referrals.
-
Pre-placement planning and liaison with lecturers to ensure accessible materials.
-
Practical supports such as extended library loans and tailored accommodations.
If a student needs support beyond our remit, we connect them to the appropriate MIE services.
