There are a variety of supports available to MIE students and detailed information about these supports is published under Student Support Services.

A summary of some of the available support services is included below.
Academic Support
Personal Tutor
All undergraduate students at MIE are assigned a personal tutor. This is an academic member of staff who helps support you during your time at MIE. If you are having difficulty, you should contact your tutor for support.
Careers Advice
MIE's Careers Advisor provides guidance and support to students about their next steps.
Financial Support
There are a number of financial supports available to students studying at MIE. Students can also contact the Access Office for guidance on these various options.
International Student Bursary
Currently this bursary is automatically applied to all international student's fees at undergraduate level.
Student Assistance Fund (SAF)
The Student Assistance Fund (SAF) provides financial support to registered MIE students for college costs, excluding fees, such as food, accommodation, travel, etc. Students may apply for assistance in both semester 1 and semester 2, and there is also an Emergency fund available for students in particular financial difficulty.
Other Supports
Respite Room
The Respite Room is available to students and staff looking for a space for quiet reflection.
Student Counselling Service
The Student Counselling Service offers a free and confidential counselling support to all fully registered MIE students.
Student's Union (SU)
The Student's Union is led by the SU president and members of the Student's Union are elected by the student body who represent the overall student body in MIE.
