Biography

Donncha, a graduate of the Marino Institute of Education, has been a part of the Mathematics team since 2022. He previously worked in a part-time capacity in the Institute lecturing in Physical Education on the Baitsiléir san Oideachas Trí Mheán na Gaeilge. Donncha lectures in Mathematics across both undergraduate primary degrees, the Batchelor of Education and Baitsiléir san Oideachas Trí Mhéan na Gaeilge. He is also involved in school and field placements and research supervision.

Donncha has a keen interest in the promotion of the Irish language and culture. He is the current Cultural and Language officer of Celbridge GAA club. He has also been heavily involved in the promotion of Physical Education at primary level through his work as an Associate with the PDST and board membership of the Irish Primary PE Association. Donncha’s research interests include: Mathematics Teaching and learning, Physical Literacy, Fundamental Movement Skills and Teacher Education.
