Assistant Lecturer
Biography
George is a Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) with experience at several higher education institutions. He has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver a range of English language programmes, including Foundation, Pre-sessional, In-sessional, and bespoke courses. His teaching incorporates technology-enhanced learning (TEL), and, having previously worked as a Learning Technologist, he has delivered accredited modules and led workshops on TEL tools and virtual learning environments. George is also the recipient of the 2025 Scholarship from the Learning Technologies Special Interest Group of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language. Currently, he lectures on the Trinity International Foundation Programme, applying evidence-based strategies to support students’ progression to undergraduate study at Trinity College Dublin.

Research/Professional Interests
George is undertaking a Doctorate in Education (EdD) at the University of Strathclyde, specialising in Digital Technologies. He has completed the taught component of the programme, which is equivalent to a Master’s degree in Practitioner Research, during which he developed an understanding of research methodologies and educational technology. His studies have included modules such as Methods of Inquiry, Literature and Scholarship, Advanced Research Methods, Technology-Enhanced Learning, Instructional Design, and Digital Media for Learning. George is now in the research phase of his EdD.
