Biography

George is a lecturer specialising in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) with experience across various higher education institutions. He has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement a range of English language programmes, including Foundation, Pre-sessional, In-sessional, and bespoke courses, particularly at the University of Strathclyde. He has a strong focus on technology-enhanced learning (TEL), having taught accredited modules and conducted workshops on TEL tools and virtual learning environment platforms, including Moodle, during his time at Maynooth University. Currently, George lectures at Marino Institute of Education on the Trinity International Foundation Programme, where he employs evidence-based strategies to promote the student experience and support their progression to undergraduate studies. George is currently undertaking a Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Digital Technologies.

Research/Professional Interests

George is undertaking a Doctorate in Education (EdD) with a specialism in Digital Technologies at the University of Strathclyde. After completing the taught stage of the EdD, which is equivalent to a Master's in Practitioner Research, he has gained practical knowledge in research methodologies and educational technology. His studies have included modules on Methods of Inquiry, Literature and Scholarship, Advanced Research Methods, Technology-Enhanced Learning, Instructional Design, and Digital Media for Learning.
