LeCoLe Project
LeCoLe was a 29 month Erasmus+ project that worked to explore the experience and best practice of partner countries in supporting active engagement of learners (both students and teachers) in planning, implementation and evaluation of the learning process for them to become co-creators of their own learning within collaborative learning process. The project was co-ordinated by the National Education Content Centre (Latvia), with partners from Marino Institute of Education (Ireland), Education Development Center (Latvia); the Ministry of Education and Science (Portugal), the European Education & Learning Institute (Greece) and the University of Iceland (Iceland).

Both Dr Rory McDaid (Project Coordinator of MTP) and Dr Garret Campbell (Project Manager for the MTP) will engage in this project.
Spatial Thinking in STEM Learning
MIE is a partner organisation in the SellSTEM Innovative Training Network funded under the Horizon 2020 ITN Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action. Led by the Technology University Dublin this project has a €4m budget. MIE is a partner to TU Dublin, and the lead researcher from MIE is Dr Teresa O’Doherty.
Teaching about Trade Justice in the Primary School
This project resulted in the development of the resource 'Just Connections, Just Trade: A Teaching Resource about Africa', which was written to support primary school teachers in teaching about the wider world and in developing global citizenship in relation to curricular areas such as SESE, SPHE, and others.
