The National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)

The National Framework of Qualifications is the system used to describe the qualifications achieved in Ireland, classifying the level, class of award and type of qualifications.
Typically programmes offered at Higher Education are classified at NFQ Levels 6-10.
Knowing the NFQ classification of your degree is also useful when comparing your qualification from an Irish university with another Education system, e.g. The European Qualifications Framework.
