Project Description
The project aims to explore and exchange experiences of how pedagogical knowledge and practices that enhance inclusion, diversity and equality were balanced with Covid-19 restrictions in ECEC settings, with the view to develop new knowledge about how such inclusive practice can be sustained into the future and through crisis times. Central to the understanding of inclusion, diversity and equality is young children’s active participation in democratic life and civic engagement within ECEC centres. Thus when ‘inclusive practice’ is mentioned throughout this application, the notion of democratic participation is implied herein. Identifying similarities and differences within and between ECEC centres in each country and between countries, will give valuable insight into how to develop ECEC practice providing equality, inclusion and democratic and civic engagement for children, parents and professionals.
