Obtaining a PPS Number
To work in Ireland you must provide your employer with a Personal Public Service (PPS) Number. A PPS number serves as your tax identification number for your employers.

Work Allowance
Students who hold a student visa (Stamp 2) are permitted to work the following hours during their studies:
- Part time: max. 20 hours per week during term time
- Full time: max. 40 hours per week during normal college holidays (e.g. June, July, August and September and from 15 December to 15 January)
All employees are required to comply with the Universal Social Charge (USC), Pay Related Social Insurance (PRSI), employment laws and taxation requirements.
Minimum Wage
The minimum wage in Ireland is currently €14.15 per hour.
