Trinity International Foundation Programme

Our International Foundation Programme is a year-long programme designed to allow students to develop the skills required to succeed and excel in a competitive university environment. The programme is intended for students who cannot begin an international undergraduate degree directly.

Postgraduate Programmes

None of the Level 9 Master in Education Studies (MES) programmes meet the minimum requirements for a Stamp 2 study visa.

Both the Professional Master of Education (Primary Teaching) and the Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas (Bunmhúinteoireacht) both have specific Irish language entry requirements, without exception, and may therefore not be suitable for international applicants.

Placement

MIE courses provide students with a healthy balance of practical and theoretical classes as well as practical experience; and students have the opportunity to put their learning into practice in real-life placements, which are a core feature of many courses in MIE.

See the Placement page for more information.
