All applications must be submitted by 1st May.

All full-time programmes offered at MIE meet the minimum hours required to qualify for a Stamp 2 visa.

Part-time programmes at MIE do not meet the minimum hour requirement to qualify for a Stamp 2 visa.

All students must meet the minimum English Language requirements for entry to MIE programmes.

No. MIE does not offer pre-study English language lessons to students. All students attending MIE must meet the minimum English language requirements to commence their studies at MIE.

No, there is no specific entrance exam to MIE, however applicants must meet the minimum subject and English language requirements for entry to different courses.

NFQ stands for National Framework of Qualifications, which is used to classify the level, class of award and type of qualifications in Ireland.

The courses offered in MIE are at the following NFQ levels:

  • Level 6: International Foundation Programme
  • Level 8 (Undergraduate): Bachelor in Education and Bachelor in Science - Early Childhood Education and Education Studies degree programmes
  • Level 8 (Postgraduate): Professional Diploma in Education (Further Education)
  • Level 9: Professional Master of Education (Primary Teaching) and all Master in Education Studies programmes
