Students get their student card once they complete in-person registration on the MIE campus.

There are a limited number of rooms available on the MIE campus and these are managed by our accommodation provider Eber.

Students on a Stamp 2 visa are permitted to work a certain number of hours in accordance with their visa.

  • Part time: Max 20 hours per week during term time
  • Full time: Max 40 hours per week during normal college holidays (June, July, August and September and from December 15 to January 15)

Yes, your degree should be recognised outside Ireland.

All MIE students graduate with a degree from our Designated Awarding Body: Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, which is internationally recognised.

In addition, all students who successfully complete their course of studies will be able to receive a Diploma Supplement which provides more detailed information about your degree and the Irish Education System. This can be used for the purposes of international study or employment in Ireland and abroad.

All registered MIE students are encouraged to get involved in student life and join any clubs and societies they are interested in. You could even consider starting your own society!

There are a variety of different sports clubs and societies in MIE, including, Men's/Ladies Football, Gaelic games, Drama Society and Live Music Society and students are welcome to found their own societies with sponsorship from a member of staff.
