Biography

Jennifer currently lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the areas of English Methods and Professional Development. Prior to joining the staff at Marino Institute of Education, Jennifer worked as a primary school teacher in Drogheda. During this time, she worked closely with the National Induction Programme for Teachers (NIPT) as both a facilitator and an associate. She has worked with the NCCA to develop a tip sheet for teachers in the area of visual literacy and is currently an executive committee member of the Reading Association of Ireland. She has a strong interest in children’s literature and regularly reviews books for Children’s Books Ireland’s (CBI) ‘Inis Magazine’. She has served as a judge for both the CBI Book of the Year Awards and the RAI Book Awards.
